Crowns In One Visit
A crown is sometimes called a cap. A brand new technology called Cerec 3D allows patients to have crowns done in one visit. It usually takes only 90 minutes for a crown to be done - start to finish. Some teeth are not good candidates for this new service. The alternative is the traditional crown, which must be sent to a lab; usually this takes 2 to 3 weeks between appointments. Dr. Newington or Dr. Caudillo will determine the way a tooth can be treated. They can tell you right away by looking at x-rays and doing a thorough exam if your tooth is a candidate for a Crown in One Visit. What a time savings!
