Bridges
A bridge is required when a patient has a tooth that is missing or a tooth has been taken out. The space that is left must be filled with a fake tooth called a pontic. The pontic is attached to the tooth in front of and behind the space. This requires great skill on the part of Dr. Newington and Dr. Caudillo along with their chairside assistants, Amy, Erica, and Jessica. The first visit is usually 2 hours or less. The second visit is less than 1 hour. By filling the space where a tooth is missing the rest of the patients smile is a lot less likely to develop gaps.
